This is the official webpage
for The Barony of One Thousand Eyes. The Barony of One Thousand Eyes is
just one of many baronies, that are in the Kingdom of Artemisia which
is
part of The Society for
Creative
Anachronism. The major population centers of One Thousand Eyes are
located in both, Idaho Falls and Pocatello, Idaho, just like they are
in
the mundane world. The Barony covers most of south-east Idaho, from the
Utah border in the south to just north of Rexburg and Stanley, east
from
Twin Falls (the Shire of Twae Linnes) east to Jackson Hole, Wyoming,
and
is in the heart of Artemisia.
Next time you're in the area and are feeling like fighting, singing, dancing, and even make some new friends. Stop by enjoy yourself, for the Barony is alive and growing with new people to meet all the time.
The Kingdom
of Artemisia was formed in XXXII Anno Societatus. The Kingdom of
Artemisia
mundanely consists of most of Utah, southern Idaho, Montana, and the
parts
of Colorado and Wyoming that are west of the Continental Divide.
Artemisia
is one of sixteen Kingdoms in the SCA. To find out what Kingdom you
live
in go here.

The Society for Creative
Anachronism,
(SCA), is an international, nonprofit, educational organization which
researches
and recreates pre-17th Century European history. The purpose of the SCA
is the study and recreation of the European Middle Ages, its crafts,
sciences,
arts, traditions, literature, etc. To put it simply, it is a bunch of
people
interested in History and like to recreate certain aspects of it. The
SCA
was started by a group of friends in California back in 1965, and has
grown
into a world wide organization.
The thing that keeps the SCA growing like it is, is the
newcomers.
Every person plays a part in creating the atmosphere. For some, this
means
the proper clothing (garb). For others, it means learning fencing,
dancing,
or whatever activities you are interested in. Many groups meet weekly,
and at these meetings we practice our fighting, or we dance, talk,
learn,
revel, and we even make plans for upcoming events.
