640SE Sample Data

Note - the image links should be fixed now! Sorry about the delay.

The 640SE, supposedly, stores its pictures internally as .jpg files.
(The 320, on the other hand, supposedly uses .bmp)

All pictures are 640x480 with the same color depth. (320x240 for the "Digital 320" - see This Site for more info about that.).
Below are a set of sample files that may be of help in working out the download format. They are all from a download of 4 test photos (also included below) of simple images. #'s 1 and 4 will probably be the most useful...

New Logfiles

I've generated some simple testpattern images - Following is the log and the resulting images.
The first image is a simple black (more or less) on the left and white on the right image (I'm having trouble finding something I can get a uniform black color off of).
The second image is, again, a more-or-less black and white image, but horizontal ("black" on the top and "less black" [I'm having trouble getting this one to have as much contrast for some reason] below).
This is the logfile of the transfer of the two pictures.
Meanwhile, I'll try to find a way to get "cleaner" black-and-white images.

The Logfiles

A "cleaned" portmon log file containing the activity that ensued upon doing a "download all files".
(Actually, this is the "Update all thumbnails" option in the "PhotoMAX" software, which simply initializes the camera, finds out how many pictures are stored, and downloads them one by one - there is no "thumbnail" stored in the camera, instead the thumbnails are generated by PhotoMAX from the complete pictures.)

The "raw" portmon logfile, if you want it.

The images

These are the 4 images resulting from the downloads in the logfile.
Image #1: A plain white background.
Image #2: An "almost plain" black background (there seems to have been enough lighting to induce some "shading" here...)
Image #3: A plain black background with a plain vertical white stripe (taken with flash, has some reflection towards top).
Image #4: Plain black background, plain white vertical stripe (no flash, should be pretty "clean").

Hope this helps!
